Shya Scanlon’s The Guild of St. Cooper (Dzanc Books, May 2015) is a novel about an author asked to write a revisionist history of Seattle. His decision sets the narrative itself unspooling backward into its own alternate history and into a world—featuring a certain Special Agent Dale Cooper—increasingly both familiar and strange.
